Cookie consent for Spectra

forms and maps wait too

← Cookie Rocks for your stack

Spectra adds blocks to the WordPress editor. Its form block can add reCAPTCHA with a script, and its map block loads Google Maps without an iframe. Cookie Rocks holds both until the visitor agrees.

What Spectra adds to your visitors’ browser

No trackers In our test of Spectra Legacy 2.20.6 on 7 November 2026, the plugin itself added no tracker and no cookie. What you place in your pages with it, such as a video or a map, still counts.

What matters for consent with Spectra

reCAPTCHA in the Form block

With reCAPTCHA on, Spectra’s script adds Google’s reCAPTCHA as the page loads. Cookie Rocks holds that script, shows the request inside the form, and starts reCAPTCHA after consent without a reload.

The Google Maps block

Spectra writes the map as an embed, not an iframe. Cookie Rocks turns it into an ordinary held iframe with its message, so nothing from Google Maps loads before the choice.

Google Fonts: host them yourself

Block fonts load from Google unless “Load Google Fonts Locally” is on. It is off by default: switch it on. See Fonts.

Small cookies of its own

The evergreen countdown sets a first-party cookie on the first view, a closed notice remembers it was closed, and popups remember their state in the browser. Spectra sends no consent signal.

What our tests found on Spectra

  • Good to know · Cookie RocksThe audit names the local fonts setting of your theme

When the home page loads Google Fonts, the Cookie Rocks 2.9.5 audit names the setting of the active theme or plugin that serves them from the site: Elementor, WP Rocket, Spectra, Kadence Blocks, OMGF, Local Google Fonts, Astra, Kadence, OceanWP or Neve. Otherwise it suggests a plugin such as OMGF. Divi, Bricks, Oxygen and Beaver Builder have no such setting. With Cookie Rocks Pro, it points to « Serve Google Fonts from this site » instead.
