When a key ends
When a trial or a key ends, the banner keeps working. The plugin tells you what changed:
Keeps working
- The banner, your visitors’ choices and the trackers held until consent
- The register of proofs of consent
- Three settings: switch the banner off, change the privacy or cookie policy page, ask all visitors again
- The free audit, and its alerts when a law changes
Waits for a key
- The other settings, including the banner’s look
- Classifying a newly found cookie, and the scans of the complete plugin
- Updates, including the ones that follow the law
- Support
Without a key, Cookie Rocks Audit keeps updating. If a new Audit ever needs a newer Cookie Rocks than yours, WordPress tells you before you update, and so do we, by e-mail. A month after a key ends, if the site still uses Cookie Rocks, we send one reminder, and only one.
Cookie Rocks is free software under the GPL version 2 or later, like every WordPress plugin. Laws keep changing: a key keeps your banner up to date with them.
Questions
You visit my site?
Yes, with Cookie Rocks Pro. Three days after you activate your key, to leave you time to set everything up, we visit a few public pages of your site, like an ordinary visitor: no account, no access to your site, and your robots.txt is respected. We check that no cookie is set before the visitor chooses. If Cookie Rocks did not know a cookie, an update follows as soon as possible to hold it. If a cookie it knows still slips through, we write to you with the setting to check. We keep the names of the cookies and of the sites that set them, never their values and nothing about your visitors. Rather we did not visit? Turn the visits off in your account, in one click.
Is there a limit on pages, pageviews or visitors?
No. Cookie Rocks runs entirely on your site, so nothing is counted and nothing is capped. A key covers a site, whatever its size and traffic.
Can I move a key to another site?
Yes, up to 3 times a year, from your account.
Who can buy a key?
Any business, of any size and in any field, anywhere in the world, as many keys as it needs: agencies, self-employed people, associations with a business number. Enter your VAT or business number at checkout: it goes on the invoice. A non-commercial site (a club, an association, a band, a personal page) gets a free Community key.
Are taxes included?
No: prices are shown without tax, as usual between businesses. In the European Union, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, give your VAT number at checkout: we check it, no VAT is charged, and the invoice says that you account for the VAT yourself (reverse charge). Elsewhere, no tax is added to the price.
Can I cancel?
Yes, at any time from your account. Your key stays valid until the end of the paid period.
My site is personal, or run by a club. Do I have to pay?
No. Ask for a free Community key: one year, free, then one click in your account for the next year. We read every request ourselves.
Do I need the free audit plugin?
Yes. Cookie Rocks works on top of Cookie Rocks Audit: install both, and the audit keeps checking your site.
Same prices in US dollars and euros, shown without tax. You pay exactly the price shown, in the currency you choose. For businesses, agencies and self-employed people: enter your VAT or business number at checkout. In the European Union, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, VAT is reverse-charged: you pay the price shown and declare the VAT yourself. Elsewhere, no tax is added to the price. One subscription, from one key to as many as you need: the price per key depends on the number of keys, and applies to all of them.
