Cookie consent for WP Headers and Footers

pasted, then held

← Cookie Rocks for your stack

WP Headers and Footers pastes your snippets into every page. What the snippet loads decides what needs consent. A Google Analytics snippet pasted in the header with it is held by Cookie Rocks until the visitor agrees.

What matters for consent with WP Headers and Footers

The snippet decides

The plugin itself only places your code. A tracker in that code needs consent, wherever it is pasted.

Google Analytics waits

A Google tag for Google Analytics pasted in the header is held by Cookie Rocks: nothing goes to Google before the choice, and its cookies appear after Accept all.

No change to your snippets

You keep pasting the code you got from the provider. Cookie Rocks holds known trackers until consent.

Cookie Rocks with WP Headers and Footers

  • Holds the scripts it adds to your pages, such as tags, pixels or a chat, until the visitor consents. In advanced Consent Mode, Google’s tags load with consent denied instead.

How we test it

Around each version, with its latest release

Around each Cookie Rocks version, a fresh WordPress installs its latest version from WordPress.org next to Cookie Rocks and runs the same checks. A new version joins the next run on its own.

  • WP Headers And Footers 3.2.0, tested on 7 November 2026.
  • The banner shows, the trackers of the test page wait for consent and load after it, and Cookie Rocks raises no PHP error.
  • Its own tags, set with a test ID, do not load before the choice and load after “Accept all”.
  • Settings of the test: Google Analytics 4 snippet in the site header.
  • Last run: WP Headers And Footers 3.2.0 on 7 November 2026, with WordPress 7.1.3.
