Report a cookie Cookie Rocks does not recognise

Cookie Rocks knows hundreds of cookies and the tools that set them (analytics, ads, videos, maps, chats). When something from another site loads on your pages and Cookie Rocks does not know it, the plugin lists it on its Your cookies page with a “Report this service” button. That button brings you here, with the address already filled in.

We say “cookies”, but it is not only cookies. A site can also store data in the visitor’s browser (local storage, session storage, IndexedDB), or load a script or an embedded frame (an iframe, such as a video or a map) from another site that does the same. Report any of them here.

Something else, such as a plugin you would like us to test or a cookie rule that changed in a country? Choose “Something else” above the form.

What do you want to report?

Seen before the visitor chooses? (optional)

As seen in your browser’s developer tools, separated by commas.

So we can see it load. We only open that page to test the script.

Only used to answer you. It stays with us and is never shared.

Only used to answer you. It stays with us and is never shared.

What to give us

  • The address of the script or the embedded frame (already filled in if you came from the plugin), or the name of the tool.
  • If you know it: what it does (a chat, a booking widget, a payment form…), and the plugin or theme that adds it.
  • If you see them: the names of its cookies or browser storage keys, as shown in your browser’s developer tools.
  • Optional: the address of a page where it appears, so we can see it load. We only open that page to test the script.
  • Optional: your e-mail, if you want an answer. It stays with us and is used only to answer this report.

What we do with it

  1. A person reads every report. Nothing is added automatically.
  2. We load it on a test site and record what it stores (cookies, browser storage) before and after consent, and after a refusal.
  3. We find its official documentation: who runs it, what it is for, how to block it until consent.
  4. We decide: a tracker that needs consent, a strictly necessary script, or nothing to block.

When it reaches the plugin

  • Once recognised, it is added to the next version of Cookie Rocks, in the free Audit and in Pro. You get it with a normal update.
  • It also appears on the Known cookies page of this site, with what we observed.
  • Until then, on the Your cookies page of the plugin, you can mark the script as “Not a tracker” if you know it is harmless, or leave it listed.
  • If you left your e-mail, we tell you what we decided.

What we do not collect

The plugin never sends anything by itself: you choose to send this form. We receive only what you type here. No tracker loads on this page.
